3 day 2 nights Serengeti & Ngorongoro Wildebeest Migration Safari

Overview:

This safari itinerary will enable you to visit the very attractive wildlife safari sites in Africa, of Serengeti national park and Ngorongoro Conservation Crater. Serengeti National Park is the oldest and most famous national park in Tanzania, and possibly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. On the other side, Ngorongoro Conservation Area measuring 8,300 square kilometer declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, with other things is the only place in the earth where mankind and wild animals co-exist in harmony.

However, the tour will enable you witness the 7th Wonders of the World Nature, of the ’Great Wildebeest Migration’ moving yearly from Masai Mara to the Serengeti plains, and the interaction between species is awesomely entertaining.

Jun, Jul & Aug – the migration heads to north Serengeti to Masai Mara, that’s the mating season so expecting the competing males fighting for the attention of females.

Full Itinerary:

Day 01: Arusha – Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Conservation:

After an early breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area entry point for registration formalities then drive en route to Serengeti national park for ‘Romantic Sunset’ game viewing, overnight in Serengeti Serena Safari Lodge  –  full board.

Today before getting into Serengeti you will spend time driving in Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) of large expanses of savannah, rain forest and bush land. Ngorongoro Conservation Area measuring 8,300 square kilometer declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979, is the only place in the earth where mankind and wild animals co-exist in harmony.

The area provides wildlife protection status as well permits human habitation at a time, therefore enables man, livestock and wild animals all live together in peace.

Day 02: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater:

Have a morning game drive in Serengeti till late afternoon, and then drive en-route to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, for overnight at the rim of the Crater in Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge – full board.

In that day you will have chance again to explore the migration of hundreds of thousands of millions of Wildebeest, Zebras, Gazelles, Topi, Hartebeest those will be wandering at the short grass plains, followed by their predators in their annual migration in search of pasture and water.

Serengeti National Park is the oldest and most famous national park in Tanzania, and possibly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world. Its vast plains are home to predator and prey, vying for grasslands and the last watering holes as the dry season progresses. Between December and May, millions of mammals migrate across the plains, and the interaction between species is awesomely entertaining. During Nov & Dec – short rain starts in Tanzania so draws the wildebeest and zebras back to the of southern Serengeti plains.

 

Day 03 – 03/02/2021: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha:

Descend to the Ngorongoro Crater for half day game drive, ascend and then drive back to Arusha. 

Ngorongoro crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world; resulted with Africa’s Great Rift Valley actions in eastern part and is famous for geology researches.

On the other side Ngorongoro Crater is a home of Black Mane Lions, Cheetahs, Leopards, Foxes and Jackals, Hyenas, and good number of herbivores like Buffaloes, Wildebeest, Zebras, Gazelles Eland and Elephant Bulls. This is the park you may see the so called the ‘Big Five’ all together!
